Josette is a solid girl, robust and very strong. Even with two copies of the bulky gene, she’s not overly large at 11kg, but she is a solid build. Those ears! They were definite in their desire to stay down. The curse of the French Bulldog’s bat-like ears: sometimes those ears are just simply too big to stay up. Josette’s pups usually fair a lot better than she did, as we’ve learned to get onto them with the tape from a young age. Josette is a dominant personality, just like her mother and daughter. It’s certainly a trait of the bloodline. She knows what she wants and goes for it with a bulldog’s determination (in other words ramming her way through like a steam-roller!). She is a little bit cheeky, and whenever you’re not paying attention, she darts out between your legs and runs off for some fun, pushing open doors with her head if they’re not latched properly. She loves nothing more than to tease the other dogs with the fact she’s escaped and they haven’t, so she doesn’t usually get very far even when she’s running free.
